Discussion with the Ministers for Agriculture of Ukraine and Kazakhstan I Online

Ukraine and Kazakhstan are among the Top Ten wheat exporters worldwide. Both countries are successfully diversifying their economies, fostering agriculture as a central pillar of their respective BIPs and paving the way for additional produce and livestock husbandry.
The more it is important to keep an eye on sustaining the agricultural potential of both countries to secure national food security and trading on the global markets also in the future:

  • What are the next steps in developing agriculture in Ukraine and Kazakhstan? 
  • Is there a special approach towards the soil, the main topic of 2022’s GFFA? 
  • Are there similar approaches how to deal with a common agricultural past? 
  • And where is particular need of modern agritechnologies for sustainable agriculture?

 Germany’s agribusiness is known for its top-notch technlogies and modern solutions when it comes to sustainable, yet productive agriculture. It stands ready to facilitate an ongoing dialogue both with Ukraine and Kazakhstan for further blossoming agricultural economies in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Therefore, the German Agribusiness Alliance will host a
ZOOM conference on Thursday, 27 January, 2022, 11.30 am to 12.30 pm Berlin Time,
with the participation of 

  • H.E. Roman Leshchenko, Minister for Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine and  
  • H.E. Yerbol Karashukeyev, Minister for Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan (tbc)

moderated by 

  • Dirk Stratmann (VDMA), Ukraine Chair and Central Asia Chair of the German Agribusiness Alliance.
